Tshepi Mpunzi scoops Ms SAUK 2007

Student Tshepi Mpunzi from South Africa was crowned the 2007 Miss Southern Africa.
She beat 16 other contestant to emerge the winner of the pageant now in its forth year.
The event hosted at the Ntyce Club in Woolwich, featured models from South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.
The Mc on the occasion was Big Brother sensation Makosi Musambasi who showed she had still the charm and charisma to carry the day with her textbook smile.
A total of 17 models participated in the beauty pageant with most participants coming from Zimbabwe and South Africa. Debutants came from Namibia and Botswana. Judges on the day included Mahogany Models Agency CEO Shola Ayebadi, Ross Anson editor B magazine, a South African TV presenter and Betsy a former model.
Miss Southern Africa Beauty Pageant Organiser Sindi was full of praise saying it had been a tough job but was happy that she was doing something for the community. The event is a charity concern whose proceeds will go to support AIDS orphans in Southern Africa.
